Air filter

Thu Jan 12, 2006 5:45 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am in search of a good hi performance air filter. My parts source guy has found the Daytona Turbo filter which I can cut to size. What other free flowing filters are out there available for the NSR?

Does the stock filter restrict air that much?

To be honest I don't know, doesn't seem to be too restrictive, mine is thin dry foam type now. I am open to other observations/recommendations.

Not many, Id go for a modded airbox instead and stay with the honda item as its not to bad, unless you want to go POD filters and get rid of the airbox but then there is allsorts of things to make it work. have you got a moded airbox?

Jo (at Apex) reckoned the stock one was a little restrictive, I've got a MotoAir dual thickness foam thing, it was only £6........

Pod's will give good outright power but are always going to cost midrange, not that Andy cares as long as it looks pimp.

Mid-range?! Bah, I laugh in the face of mid-range!

Flat out or parked, there's nothing else! Laughing

UNI filter makes a sheet of filter foam that can be cut to size that is what I use. Check it out at the link below.
