im not completely sure if its the same for bike wheels, but on cars they normally beed blast them!

yep, you'll spend a while just splooging the coating around until it eventually blasts off... satisfying and infuriating at the smae time!

my wheels are taking longer than expected as the blasters say they are having a nightmare trying to get that nasty orange powdercoat off my magteks Crying or Very sad

I've used a aircraft quality paint stripper to remove powder coat before. Doesn't hurt alum wheels, not sure about the magteks. You can get it in a rattle can or in can which you have to brush on, the brush on works better. Use rubber gloves as the sh*t burns like hell when you get it on your skin. And REALLY burns when you get it on your face and in your eyes Shocked

Like Dave said try Nitromors,you can get it from Halfords and take the advice of rc51paul as Nitromors burns your skin.

i thought you were not supposed to use anything corrosive on Magteks as it will attack the (small amount of) magnesium in the wheel, i am sure i recall a thread where someones Magteks melted when they were dipped.

I have mine back now and they look loverly, tyres on mmmmmmm Very Happy
