NSR-WORLD.COM Christmas Bash...

Mon Aug 29, 2005 11:32 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

OK guys and girls, here's the first step on the way to organising the first ever NSR-WORLD.COM X-Mas Bash!

The plan is to hire a small function room in a suitable central location for an end of year knees up! Most likely location will be somewhere around the Birmingham area, but the date is yet to be set!

There will be a small fee per person as we will be laying on food, but until we have a rough idea of just who wants to come along, I can't yet say how much it will be. The evening will be a "bring your significant other" kind of do!

Please answer the poll ONLY IF YOU HOPE TO ATTEND!

Please post your intentions to this thread so we can gauge numbers. Depending on the response, we'll endevour to book up somewhere with either on-site, or at least very local, accommodation.

So, who's up for it?!

"Significant other"... wife, hubby, girlfriend(s), someone elses girlfriend etc.

I'd prefer the 10th as the 3rd is my birthday and I'll no doubt be up to something with my kids.

Why not do something in the afternoon…..Go-Karting perhaps as it’ll be a bit brass monkeys for a trackday.

http://www.theraceway.co.uk looks OK.

with enough notice i can get a pass for that, the more notice you can give on a firm date, the better chance i have of getting a baby sitter (aka mum and dad) to watch the kids.

My thoughts exactly, and there's one ten minutes from my house just outside Swindon. Sound good?

That's why we're running the poll now.

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed at the current response, after all I knew Nigel & Claire, Dave, Stephen, and Fontyyy would all be up for it anyway, before I even posted anything, but it's only been a few days. The Forum just seems a little quiet this week anyway.

I should say that something will be in place by the end of September. That gives everyone the chance to step up and tell us their peference on date, plenty of time to sort a venue, and an opportunity to arrange some entertainment!
