I dont want to sound stupid here but I have to ask. Does the spark plug cap disconnect from the wire, because I was tuggin on mine and it seperated.

The spark plug cap is a separate part from the coil wire, so yes, it is possible for it to be disconnected (that's what you have to do if you are replacingthe spark plug cap). I would suggest snipping just a mm or 2 off the end of the coil wire so you have clean metal, and then screw the spark plug cap down good and tight onto the wire - might try cleaning the inside of the plug cap with contact cleaner first too, assuming your cap is good, just to make better contact.
