Power valve probs

Fri Aug 05, 2005 8:58 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All

I've recently changed my servo motor on my MC21 coz it was struggling to turn the powervalves. When i turn ignition on the PV's automatically turn themselves to the high(fully open) positon, when it should actually be closing itself. Another problem is that it stays completely open no matter what revs i do.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Have you checked your throttle position sensor is connected?

If they're going the wrong way, have you checked that the cables aren't crossed over?

Have you checked the valve cable tension, and the valves themselves for build up of crud.

PV problems can lead to a fried PGM, so pay special attention to the cable tension
