I have a mc18 and I need to switch the rear wheel from an 18 to a 17. Does anyone know which wheels will fit in with minimal modification. I tried a cbr600 f3 but the brake rotor is too deep in the wheel. Any infomation is greatly appriciated.
thanks. Very Happy

Hi Andy isn't the 21 a 18' and I think he wants a 17'? Or maybe it's me that doesnt understand the post. Also will the 21 bolt straight into a mc18 2j coz the width of tire is surpossed to be smaller?

The 21 uses a 17" wheel the 18 a 18" one, they swap right over though. Thats the rears not the fronts mind, the fronts are both the same.

Best you check your front too, maybe you have a gained an inch on the rear and lost one on the front! You might have a fireblade front wheel lol.

Question OK, let me see if I got this straight; You can fit an MC21 REAR wheel to an MC18 swingarm, and an MC21 FRONT wheel is already the same size as an MC18 front? Thanks for setting me straight, Curtis

Forgive me for being thick. Confused Does the mc21 front and rear wheel fit the mc18 without modification?
I'd like to know cause i'm looking for a set of magtek wheels. They are often advertised for the '21, less frequently for the '18.

Tyga have got 2 front ones, Apex have got a rear for an '18 (18"), I don't see the problem with 18", you can get tyres still as it's the NC30 size as well.

I pick up a set of Magtecs for my '28 tomorrow, maybe some SP forks too Very Happy

So if we're asking for silly stuff, anyone got an original set of '28 Rothmans bodywork lieing around? My '28 is the right age so if it was an SP that's what it would have been.
