I expect the only place you may find NOS (new old stock) is on Yahoo! Auctions in Japan.

Is there a particular reason you want new parts? In my experience the barrel is more likely to wear than the RC Valve, so if you've mislaid them or they are indeed damaged, why not just put a wanted advert in Classifieds for a used set or a (complete) unrepairable barrel?

Thanks Andy, I put everything new to the engine when I restaured it , and I would have liked to put the news rc valves on it. They work well but I don't know if the shaft with the cams will get slack over time. Many NSR make a clinking noise and it is from the rc valves, I have been able to verify that pressing the shaft with a finger stops making that noise. I don't remember if Honda recommended changing the valves when it had a certain clearance.

That's fair enough. Everyone likes new stuff if/when they can get it! Smile

However, while the RC Valve assemblies were an individual part number, I don't recall ever reading anything official from Honda regarding replacement due to clearance/servicing. As I say, in my experience it's always been the barrel that's worn, rather than the RC Valve itself. The wear is usually more noticeable when you get a barrel back from replating, when it's been chemically stripped & cleaned. You will often see the wear marks in the roof of the RC Valve recesses.
