MC28 User Manual

Wed Nov 04, 2020 8:17 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi team,

Im new and this is my first thread.

I have a 96 250SE MC28 and I am having some troubles.

Firstly, I would love it if someone could point me in the direction of a manual that I could obtain.

Secondly, my local Honda shop has just wiped their hands of it after several months and I am left with a bike almost ready to go. The only thing they couldnt/wouldnt figure out is that under load, it wont go above 6000 rpm and therefore not into band. But in neutral, it revs all the way.
Any ideas or assistance would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance,

Boshy

Hi Boshy, welcome, this problem sometimes points to the air correction system not plumbed in correctly, seen this several times on mc21's, so what you need is a diagram of the system to check yours is connected up properly, somebody will be along shortly to point you in the right direction.

Hi Boshy and welcome!,
I had this exact issue a couple of months back, it was the air correction circuit (very easy for the local bike shop to connect it up incorrectly)
Same symptoms as yours, ran fine on the bench but refused to transition onto the power jet part of the rev range.

Hope this helps
