MC18 Fairing 5mm Speednuts

Sat Mar 03, 2018 4:58 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all,

I have an MC18 Mk1 in Fighting Red. I am looking for some speednuts for the fairing, particularly where the bellypan meets the front piece behind the front wheel (I'm not sure what this is called). I have a few original speednuts however there are a few missing. The ones I have are Black and are 12mm x 16mm with a 5mm thread.

Does anyone know of a supplier (preferably UK) who stocks speednuts of this size? Or anyone who has some for sale? TYGA and other Aftermarket fairing suppliers seem to have the part as one.

Ta,

Peter

Thanks!

Weirdly though they don't seem to have any that are 5mm. I believe the correct ones are Part 16, which don't look right at all. Do you know if they were originally 5mm? The ones I have certainly look original and fit perfectly.

Thanks

Sorry I'm confused. How can you have a 5mm screw with a 6mm speednut thread? Surely the speednut and the screw have to be the same size?

Thanks
