Front sprocket query

Tue Apr 25, 2017 3:58 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am rebuilding my first MC21,Noodle, purchased and previously owned by a couple of members. My query is which way to install the sprocket, it's a jt copy. Should the flanged side face in or out?

Had a reply from JT, the NSR is different to most other bikes. The flanged side with the information on goes towards the engine, so flat side out.

Incorrect advice

Fri Apr 28, 2017 7:37 pm » Post: #3 » Download Post

The advice from JT is incorrect, with the sprocket mounted with the boss towards the engine the chain rubs against the plastic side cover?? Mounting the conventional way, with name and numbers to the outside, the chain clears the side cover. Will have a chat with JT again
