Has anyone had a problem with their carbs popping out of the boots? I have...well not really an airbox, more like a piece of plastic to catch the blowback oil/fuel. Does the stock airbox help hold the carbs in place? I've tried just snugging up the carb boot clamps and really tightening down on them and it doesn't seem to matter. Also the bike came with UNI pod filters but were torn around the base. I replaced them and the new ones are torn after only ~100 km. Is that normal for them? Whats the best filters to use? Thanks in advance for the info.

Your sure they are all the way in when you put them back in & tighten the clamps ?

Yes they are as far in as they will go. Could this indicate that the reeds are shot?

not sure what model u have but just a thought u may have the wrong size "holder"(thing that hold the carbs between the carbs and the reeds). ie the mc16 has a small one and mc18+ has a larger one. just a thought
