Oil injector tuning

anonymous.shyster » Mon Aug 31, 2009 8:23 am

Did a 350km ride on the recently rebuilt NSR300 the other day, and noticed the bike takes a lot of oil! I worked it out, that for 27 litres of fuel, it took 720ml of oil. That works out at a ratio of 37.5:1.

Wondering if it's a good idea to adjust the oil injector back a bit, so that it's running a bit cleaner at 50:1, as I'm running fully synthetic castrol racing TT something. My only concern is perhaps the oil injector doesn't inject a linear amount of oil, and it might, for example be injecting 50:1, but nothing at idle, or something like that. In which case I would most likely just go to premixing the fuel.

What recommendations can I have?
