Kiss d-r box or wire splice?

Sat Feb 05, 2005 1:29 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

hi all,
Im 17 in Brisbane, Australia and just bought my first bike, an mc21 nsr Very Happy I just pulled the tail apart today to do the pgm 3 wire splice but found it already has a Kiss cdi unit plugged in.

What i am wondering is whether this box does both the ignition splice and the gps splice, or just one? and am i best off just pulling it out and doing both splices myself?

Any help is much appreciated
Tim

The KISS delimiter does a perfectly good job. I'd be inclined to keep it in place so as to avoid chopping the original harness.

Ethos Design, an authorised HRC supplier in Japan, actually recommended the KISS delimiter to me some years ago.

thanks for replying so soon, i put the bike back together without changing anything other than cleaning it up a bit. so theres no need to do the gps splice then?

also im new to web forums, am i meant to start a new post again if i want to ask about a dinged rim or tyres?

Thanks again,
Tim

Yep, as you'll have forum members who may have better experience/knowledge with rims than with electrics and may get their attention froim the subject heading.

By the way, the KISS box is better that the wire splice... so I have been told Smile
