Hello all,Finally got myself R6K Terra, fresh in from Japan,12,000 k bit scruffy body wise but very good mechanically,on close inspection it appears to have brand new oil pump, barrels, heads, and carbs, all the engine gasgets are fresh,so it obviously had some lack of oil issue in Japan, but it runs spot on now,the o/s seat panel is damaged, also o/s upper fairing the same, but i have replacements for those,so full resto on the body work, sourced the Terra decals in Japan, and my sign writer can copy the others and trace the panel coloured decals, made a good start on the rest of it,will post more pics as i go along,Couple of pics of Fontyy old 28 with refresh, good luck, jonmac

Looks like the start of a good restoration project John. Really like that particular MC18 model, sweet. _________________ Rich

Hi all, decided to go for non gen bodykit for now while i restore the OEM kit it will allow me to reg it and put some miles on it,the green is very dark on it, but the rest is OK especially for the money,[thanks Leigh] The OEM kit will be painted and if all goes to plan the decal man can sort out all of them inc the Terra decal,so none of them are painted, but i will laquer over them for a better finish, few more things to do to it,and then see if my favorite SP lives up to expectation, thanks, jonmac _________________ John
I strongly advise HRC shock linkages. You may be a bit surprised with the seemingly otherwise lazy steering and soft feel of the suspension without them. _________________ Andy.

Hi all finally finished the OEM bodywork and got it together, the decals were very tricky to apply {flat decal on curved surface not much fun} but soapy water and heat gun and lots of patience it it turned out really well, managed to find a set of JHA pipes for it,they sound awsome bit noisey so what, also bought a pr of Tecnomagnesio rims off Dan the man {Gecko motor cycle imports} they will look the biz when fitted ,thats it for now, goodluck, jonmac _________________ John
