**edit**

I'm SO GLAD you guys were all sleeping when I posted this....

After it got dark I went upstairs to watch TV and remembered something I didn't do during the reassembly that probably had everything to do with this problem. So that's done and I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow and try it out. Hopefully that was the reason it wouldn't rev up.

At least nobody had the chance to say "hey stupid, check xxxxx". I did that myself! lol

Would've been better to have left the post and explained the fix, in case someone suffered the same problem down the line.

We've all forgotten silly things at some point. My favourite is to leave the float bowl drain screws open after a rejet and then riding off up the road with a trail of super following me! Quite how Steve's always managed not to light the trail of fuel is quite beyond me! Laughing

Well I remembered that I hadn't attached anything to the airbox, so the t fitting wasn't connected from the carbs to the airbox. Sure hope that was it!

Turns out that wasn't the problem after all. I don't know if having the T solenoid unplugged from the airbox changes things, but with it reconnected it did the same thing today. Just as I was about to tear my hair out, I noticed that the front cylinder tried to cough every once in a while when going back to idle after a rev so I focused on it. Then I saw one wire was barely attached to that cylinder's coil. Plugged the sucker in all the way, and she revs clean. I'll continue this under the Member's Builds forum now since I started one last fall for the bike.

Now on to jetting. Yay!
