On the speedo where the temp is it blinks ERROR3 and at the same time the red warning light blinks aswel. This only happens when i'm taking off 2 -3 rpm. When i'm riding it hard, nothing.

TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor. It's a variable resistor fitted to the side of the carbouretter which tells the ignition unit how far open the throttle is, so that it can alter the ignition timing to suit.

If your Error 3 is only flashing up on a closed throttle and then disappearing as you openup then you've nothing to worry about.

It's not right though, so what you wanna do is to get in there and do some adjustments.

Take off the airbox and look at the right side of the right hand carb. You'll see this little round black thing. That's the throttle position sensor (TPS). Basically a flash name for a 5K potentiometer. There's a small (special torx head) screw holding it in position. If you ain't got the proper tools for the job then a pair of long nose locking pliers can usually persuade it loose. Then with the ignition switched on (engine NOT running) slowly turn the pot anticlockwise until the Error 3 light goes out. Nip up the locking screw...job done.

There are numbers for the correct setting, but I ain't got around to writing it all down yet.

I went for a ride today to make sure when Error3 and the warning light blinks. 1st gear 2000-4000 rpm it blinks heaps. 2nd gear 3000-4000 rpm it also blinks.

Any suggestions here Matt ?
I need this fix so i can order some of your pipes!

I thought Matt already told you how to adjust the TPS?

What? You want him to fly to Melbourne and do it for you?!...

Andy.

Yeah he did Andy, but it's not the it ain't flashing on a closed throttle like Matt said. it's the oppisite. it starts to flash when i open up the throttle.

It'll be great if Matt could fly here and do it for me but like thats gonna happen.
