How do I tell what model year this mc21 is?

Is there a way to tell what year make the bike is from the frame number?
the frame number starts off as 100****

Hmmm. Thought someone would have answered this by now! I've done a search of all the NSR sites I know and can't find a list posted anywhere. Can anyone else shed some light?
