MC16 CDi

Hey guys, I've noticed that my CDi's have different numbers on them an was wondering if they have to match a cylinder?
I've looked on the wiring diagram, searched and even had a look at the parts list, but no mention of these numbers.
They are KV3CI530 and KV3CI530A.
I was wondering if the 'A' one means it is advanced for the rear cylinder maybe?
I've swapped them around and it does not appear to make a difference at low revs. But as the bike is not road worthy I can't take it for a spin.
Cheers
Blair
