my mc18 restoration

Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:37 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

restoring my mc18, slowly but surely im getting there. I will be adding pics as and when i can to show everything im doing. Any comments will be welcome. Its a R5k bike and according to honda themselfs it is supposed to be black red and silver. The bike came with 2j GRP fairings for some reason but everything else was R5k. Trying to make the bike as mint as poss with as many genuine parts as poss (i have shares with david silver spares) Still a WIP so watch this space.

I had a brand new l/h seat unit side panel in that colour kicking around but recently swapped it for some decals!
Are you going for original bodywork?

There are two SEED coloured pannels on ebay right now for an R5K, bottom left hand and middle right hand.

I might also know where there is a top fairing with very minimal damage in the right colours too.
