F3 Linkage plates

The F3 plates that the measurements are on the site, what exactly do they do differantly to standard MC18 ones. I'm fitting a 21 17inch rear and wonder whether this will help.
Do they just increase ride height or perhaps the rising rate?

Keep your eyes open on Yahoo Auctions Japan. The HRC F3 shocks come up every now and then, particularly the MC18 ones... There was two of them on there a couple of weeks back

Been offered a CBR600RR 2006 rear shock, but not sure of the length yet so i will have to see. Need something a little beefier to support my ample frame!

It's likely to be closer if it's a 1996 shock! I think it was a 1991~92 shock that's close enough to fit, but don't quote me on it.

I'm certainly not putting my 50p on it, that's for sure, but I will put 50p on the 2006 not fitting very easily. You need a very short shock to fit it into an MC16 or MC18.

My MC18 shock is 290mm eye to eye, 2006 CBR600RR is 293mm. Looks like its game on!

Well there you go! They've obviously reduced the length of the shocks on the newer bikes again.

Would've helped if you'd mentioned that to start with though.
