Wiring in rear brake banjo pressure switch - HELP NEEDED!

Sat Aug 18, 2018 8:55 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all,

Can i please ask the forum wisdom on wiring in a rear brake banjo pressure switch.

I have Tyga rear sets and and a Tyga tail unit with integrated rear brake light, so need to use a rear banjo pressure switch for the brake light.

I have installed plenty on other bikes before and usually splicing the banjo wires in to the original switch wires on the loom does the job.

However when trying to piggy back the wires from the front m/c switch i cannot get the brake light to work with the rear banjo.

I've tested the banjo switch with the multimeter and it works fine, so am a little stumped.

I'm sure this must have been done countless times so can anyone advise please.

For reference, in the existing 3 pin plug for the rear brake light i have a GREEN, GREEN/WHITE and BROWN. (image attached)

Any help or advise greatly appreciated as this is the last thing to be done before i can get her out on the road after a 3 year rebuild!

Thanks,
Max
