Ok!shon problems

Fri Nov 14, 2008 10:07 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Thought this might be useful to some of Ok!shon's customers

To cut a long story short, I bought some stuff from Yahoo auctions in the summer and Ok!shon shipped them in July. I chose surface shipping and ETA was about 2 months. Well it's now 4 months since then and my bike is still waiting for the parts. I emailed them about 6 times in the last 2 months and although they answered back, they had no real solutions for me, they just stalled the whole thing. My last email was today, saying I demand a full refund for all services until now, in the next 72 hours. They responded immediately with 2 emails.

1st.

Hi,

As spoken, we passed the case to post office for investigation, and
they will get back to us on the status. It could take some time. To
our understanding, it may takes up weeks to months, as it is a SEA
parcel, which is being sailed over the ocean.

Refund is not possible according to the terms of service that you signed up.

However, if the post office grant us insurance, we will return it to you.

Thank for your attention.

Hi,

Further update from post office, they claim they will get back to us
later next week, on the status of the parcel.

Since this was my first transaction with them, I m a bit confused, because most people say they are ok to deal with, except they are maybe a little slow with emails (Although here, this is not the case).

Anyway I m on the lookout for more services of this type. Don't know how this will turn out. (I hear Rinkya are dependable but expensive, any thoughts?)

Hey Dexter,

Just to let you know I have delt with Okshon a few times now with no problems. On the last order it took 6 months for my parts to arrive but they still did! You just have to hang on... Wink

Cheers

Hang in there Buddy they will turn up. Okshon cant really do much while they are in transit for them it must be a nightmare too as unhappy customers is not what they want.

The japanese are very trust worthy

Upon further inspection....

I believe OKshon! is run from HK!

That said, I have bought a lot through them in the past and using EMS the stuff has always turned up very quickly. The last shipment was SEA and very slow. As beek says though, not much can be done when the stuff is on a ship in the middle of the ocean.

Like many others I know I've never had any delivery problems with OkShon!, but I always use one of the air delivery options. More expensive of course, but far, far quicker anmd less likely to cause angst while you wait for the slow boat from Japan.

To be honest though I'm trying to kick the habit as stuff just works out so expensive when all the agent and shipping fees are added - esp if UK customs pounce on the parcel when it arrives in the UK and add their own Vat and release fees Shocked

You should also always get a tracking number/link from them.

Ask for SAL Sea mail, it takes upto 12 weeks max for the UK.

EMS express air should only be 3 day's.

MM Smile

PS. They are run from HK so it is NOT Japanese nationals you are getting parts from but Chinese. Do a search on their company profile - also fully read their small print Shocked

I've got to say, that while I've had no real problems up until now (although I did have to chase them a little while ago after I'd requested a PayPal refund that wasn't very forthcoming), I won't be using them again unless I see something last minute that I really have to have a pop at! That's the real beauty of OKShon!, having control of your own bidding, although it's easy to get carried away bidding on special parts... allegedly!
