Wanted: Bottom yoke (MC21 or MC28)

Thu Jul 24, 2008 12:21 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Has anyone got a spare bottom yoke they want to sell?

One of my bikes has a damaged one which needs replacing. I can do an exhnage for a bent one if someone is doing a conversion and only needs the stem.

Cheers.

Yep, I should have one somewhere as the bitsa '28 came with a 21 one, I had to source a '28 one from Japan. I'll dig it out tonight and fire it down there if you PM me your address.

Yoke

Thu Jul 24, 2008 2:42 pm » Post: #3 » Download Post

Nice one, i didnt realise there was a difference between 21 and 28.

I know 18 are different as the steering stops are at the front rather than the back.

I was toying with the idea of taking it off my wrecked 28 sp, but I have now found that standard cards are available. so its wont be too hard to dump an engine in the 28 slap some old bodywork on it and get it going again. Again I will need some new forks but some R ones shouldnt be too hard to find.

Cheers

There's a hole in the '28 one for the steering lock Wink

Funny I posted a request for exactly the same item only a few days ago and NO response, still looking for one though, some you win and some you loose.

I have a spare `21 set of standard yokes.
They`re with a mate of mine who`s measured them up to make me some billet yokes for my race bike.
I`ve been waiting since last year though.
Anyway, I may soon have a set of standard billet yokes for sale. No provision for the ignition switch on them.
I should be getting them back from him soon.
He may have had a couple of sets made that he wants to sell too.
Will post later when I`m going to get the things in my hands!

Will the stem from mine push back into my bent one easily? Do I not have to gring off a weld or something....never done a conversion myself.

Chester, your billet yokes sound great, might be good for my Foruna 28 or race bike as they dont have ignition key on 28s anyway.

As for my MC21, I would rather keep it stock so really want a MC21 bottom yoke.

Cheers
