MC-18 Cranks

Tue Jul 22, 2008 6:40 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Can anyone tell me if a crank out of a 89 mc-18 will fit in a 88 mc-18???
The part #'s are different. Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with this.

I am fairly certain (but not 100%) that the '88 crank will NOT fit the '89.

There's nothing wrong with the Mk2 bottom-end, and it will slot straight in to the Mk1 chassis.

It's just as fast to swap a complete bottom-end (probably faster) than a crank, so still a wise investment in my opinion. Only issue may be the engine/frame numbers in the States... not something we worry a great deal about here in the UK to be honest! Laughing
