New member-with some ?'s

Hello all. Been in love with 2 smokers for a long time. Had a few RZ 350's back when I was in my teens (34 y.o now).

Anyhow, I have been looking into getting myself an MC18. Really want to see around 60-70 WHP. I have been eyeballing the Tyga 300cc kit and stuff, as well as deristricting mods/jetting etc.

Will Tyga's 300 cc kit work on an MC18? Will there aftermarket bodywork and lights fit on an MC18? Also, what , if any way is there to fit modern 120/160 rubber onto an MC18? Any help would be appreciated. Thx gang.

Hi Omnivore, and welcome to the Forum.

All those questions can be easily answered by searching the Forums.

Low 60's, easy on a 250.

High 60's, relatively simple.

70hp 250, achievable, pretty expensive, but very rewarding.

MC18/300 done plenty of times before. Don't expect 70hp though. More like low to mid 60's with a load of torque (for a 2-stroke). The 300 still needs tuning just like a 250 to get good power out of it, so add tuning to the cost of the kit. Bonus is you get a brand new top-end, not just a reconditioned one.

Some MC18's in the Posers Gallery with TYGA bodywork. Take a look.
