I ve fitted HRC single ring pistons, the engine is as new.can anyone tell me the maximum revs I can take her to and for what distance before she s broke in ?I ve been running her at between 7-8k and from the temp gauge she s not getting overly hot.Hanging around 80 degrees.I would post a pic but haven t a clue how to do this ?

Warm it up on the stand, but don't let it idle. Blip it to about 5k until it's over 50 degrees, then up to 7~8k until it's about 70 degrees. Turn off engine and allow to cool completely to ambient temperature.

Repeat three times.

And then to coin Andy's phrase.....ride it like you stole it!

1. Run it up to "normal" temp by blipping the throttle like Matt says, to about 5000rpm.

2. 60 second check-over for leaks, and top the rad up if necessary.

3. 15 minute break for a cup of tea.

4. 3~4 mile ride, 30~60mph, up to about 9000rpm to Devonport.

5. Hand bike to StephenRC45 who then canes the crap out of it on the dyno for the next hour!

Still goes like a train, and is jetted a little more extreme now... well, it does have more than 10 miles on it now after all! Confused

Yes, probably will, but I got nicked by the old bill last year for:

Not carrying driving License
No tax
No license Plate
No mirrors
Race pipes
Speeding
Noise pollution
dangerous driving

Perfectly normal Saturday night if you ask me...dunno what his problem was.

Do you have a dyno down there ?Thinking of taking the bike down in a truck.Also ;
No license.
No insurance
Slicks
JHA racing exhaust system
I thought all this was pretty normal for Thailand.Must be tightening up the law down there,or was it the end of the month ?
