Hi just bought my first nsr its an mc28 bought it from lj on here he got it from DK motocycles unregistered how do I go about getting it registered on an age related no plate I no it needs an mot first but do I need some thing that proves its year and where can I get it when I registed a car I got from the states it had its title with it to prove age when I did an old triumph I got certificate to prove its age from the triumph owners club any help would be most welcome by the way great site helped me a lot when serching for a bike .
DK Imports should really have supplied an age declaration certificate. I would try a call to them with the VIN number, as they should hold records for it. All UK companies are supposed to hold ALL official paperwork pertaining to sales for a period of 10 years I seem to recall.
The process then should be very similar to cars you have registered. MOT it on the VIN number, send the VIN number and the age certification to DVLA with the relevant form, and they will send you back a registration number. Click the eBike Insurance button on the links page for a great insurance quote and help out the Site , and then pop down the post office to tax it!

Well they've done the business for some users! My quote was pretty much the same as my Norwich Union renewal, but the convenience sways it.
The ability to add bikes and riders "real time" and at will for short periods, and to have multiple bikes on a single policy without being made to feel like a criminal (insurance companies are good at that!) makes the difference for me. _________________ Andy.

Thanks for that info Andy will be in touch with DK as soon as poss the seller gave me the receit he got for the bike will also ebike for a quote on the bike .
I just renewed my insurance with e bike insure £105 fully comp, cheaper than my previous insurer and I did add some modifications to the policy as well. I could have perhaps got it a bit cheaper elsewhere but ebike also include unisured loss recovery, breakdown recovery, ncd protection, and 365 days foreign use (might want to take the nsr touring!!!) as standard.
Tanks for all the info guys phoned DK motor cycles really helpfull people they gave me the number for Leicester motorcyles they give dateing certificate for £17 they say they allways give the japanese tittle with the bike when sold but who knows They are also sending me all the paper work they have on the bike fiom DK like vat and duty papers really good people to say I did not buy the bike from them highly recomend there customer service .cheers
