NSR-WORLD track day...

Sun May 13, 2007 10:57 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

OK, after some arm twisting yesterday, I have contacted the administration at Llandow to find out which Fridays they have remaining for us to run a 2-stroke track day.

The prices have gone up this year, and I will be expected to find a rather heafty deposit again, so I would like to hear who will be up for attending, and will make a serious concerted effort to keep their word!! Smile

I will be aiming to keep the price to £85 as before, and the numbers just high enough to pay for the event, but low enough to give everyone more track time than they can actually physically cope with! Very Happy

Please post your preferred Friday so I can get an idea of the best time to choose.

Once I decide on the date, I WILL NOT CHANGE IT FOR ANYONE! Too many times we have chopped and changed to try and accommodate people - this time it is YOUR turn to show NSR-WORLD some committment!!

As usual, I will arrange a dyno day, a night on the town in Plymouth, and a ride-out (with rules of engagement clearly laid out this time!) to make it a proper silly weekend!! Twisted Evil

All makes and models welcome, but don't piss me off by asking if you can bring your bore-stroke! 2-STROKES ONLY. (Concessions only if you seize it less than 7 days before the chosen date, and need to bring a back-up!)

Cheers,

Sometime in September would be good for me. The main reason being GT's are moving so we wont be running the dyno from June through to September Wink

Any FRIDAY will be good with me as I only need to give a weeks notice at work.

I think early September would be good. The weather is still likely to be OK (global warming... bring it on!!), and still plenty of daylight.

I'd like to hear some more committment from others though. It'll probably end up being the Usual Suspects again else Wayne! Mind you, a track between 6~8 people for the whole day would be a laugh!

I'd love to ride at Llandow, I've heard it's a great track, with bumps and corners like the real world, not billiard smooth or featureless. Plus a 2 stroke only track day, wow, no being blown down the straights and held up in the corners by a diesel 4 stroke..... bliss.

Any date that doesn't clash with the F250 Derby Phoenix championship is good for me. Fontyy and Chester would have to be there with StephenRC45's F3... that would be worth gate money as well as entry fees.

Cheers

Dan

I'm similarly flexible - and pretty much a guaranteed attendee (plus another 2 or so I'd think). Last 2 weeks in August are out for me due to holidays. Before that - or September - is good though.

Geko. Llandow is a terrific little track really. Appears very straightforward, but is actually considereably more technical than it looks - well it is for me in any case...

Cheers

lol Poor WB, second time there his 3XV's crank couldnt take it and let go (did Fenton sell you those bearings WB?) and the third time he had a small miscalculation and fell off.

Would good to see you out there again though WB, even more so now the 3xv is making some mojo.

It won't clash with a F250 meet, as we will be racing by then too.

That should see at least the following there:

NSR.Wayne (MC18 x 2)
StephenRC45 (MC21F3, MC18F3, RS250)
Fontyyy (MC28)
Dan (MC28)
Nigel (MC21)
Warwick (3XV - potent!)

and...

Stig (MC21 NSR-WORLD Racer)

Yeah, It's going pretty well now. Bit of a struggle to keep it ahead of a few of these boys in the intermediate group at Llandow last weekend though:

Gotta love that 250 corner speed eh Bulletproof?

Sept 7th is looking most likely. Early September should be good for weather, plus the dyno should be back up and running.

F250 dates in September are 1st and 22nd/23rd.
