mc 21 250r clutch problem

hi i need help just got nsr 250 r mc 21 wet clutch just got bike started changed all fluids go to pull in clutch feels good but dosent work pops in gear when i shift but pull in clutch no help dosent disenguage the gear is there anything i can check before tearing into engine please help its killing me i want to ride so badddddd lol thanks for any help brent

You hve to pull the ide cover off. There is a shaft that goes though the center of the hub and that i what puhe the preure plate out. The shaft is actually in two pieces and a single ball bearing between them. Check the parts diagram on this web site.

Make sure the pressure plate is on correctly. Check the plate stack for the proper order and measure the thickness of the stack.

what about the part that the clutch cable moves could it be broken inside im talking about the spring loaded part that goes into the case that is at bottom of case thanks if so is there away just to check that

How did you make out ?

I had a similar problem and it was just the steel plates were stuck to the frictions from minor surface rust, bike sat a while before I got it. Took everything out and brillo cleaned the steel and worked fine.

If you need clutch parts I have a hub and basket brand new.
