temporary fuel bottle to hang from roof.

Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:50 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

so with my rebuilding my MC16, my tank is always off, but I need to get fuel into my carbs at times.

I see people use like a 2ltr coke bottle and hang this from the roof.

What connection do they use in the bottle cap to connect to the fuel line without getting a leak?

Thanks in advance,

As you of course already have these fuel line connectors on your bike, you just install another one in a bottle of some kind.

Admin: Dead link (and irritating long URL) removed.

Hahahahahahahaha I was waiting for that, but can't really see the problem. I kind of expected to be just under the limit Wink

Admin: Dead link

Sorry 'bout that, but I did test it, honest !
BUT the picture was ok, wasn't it Andy ? then WHY Crying or Very sad

wasn't it better to block all the: "How do I register a NSR in US" questions ? They are more annoying than long links Wink (although i sympathise with people overthere)

PS on the thorntree lonely planet, you just click a http button and a popup asks first for a url and then for a short text, thats it. Never long links again.

No, the image didn't work either! Probably in your PC's cache... but let's not get too geeky! Anyway, you know how intollerant I can be sometimes!! Smile

A link such as:

125 RC Valve image here

To give the result 125 RC Valve image here is always going to be favourable!! Very Happy

An old tire valve off an old bicycle inner tube works OK. Remove the valve assy. cut it out of the tube leaving a circle of rubber, sick it through the bottle or the cap, put a washer over the thread and tighten the nut. Usually seals first time but.....a dab of silicon.

I used a piece of tube heated up, pushed into the bottle, then epoxied in place. Held from the garage roof with a piece of string.
