If you fit HRC harness you don't have the option of ignition switch or side stand. In the bin they go.

The HRC loom is as bare as you can get, just wires the essentials up to the kill switch and thats it.

There is so much that can be lopped off an NSR to make it a, lighter and b, easier to work on.

While a lot like to run the oil pump etc. once its removed the new found space makes engine work 10x easier.

You can also remove all the switch gear for light leaving just the kill switch.

The rear subframe can be attacked, there is a good 1" 1/2 of tubing that can be removed as well as the carry loops.

The rest of the weight can be saved with things like Tyga screen braces and clock stays, NSR-world sprocket carriers and such.

An NSR can be paired down to very little. I think Matt got his '28 down to 118kg and my '21 with a whole load of Ti bolts is now just under 117kg with a gallon of fuel.

And you weigh?

If you're a porker, then go on a diet before you chop bits off the bike! Your own body is dynamic weight you can put anywhere you like after all...

The oil pump and all it's parphinalia (including the litre and 1/2 of oil you're going to have in the system as you're paranoid if you can't see any in the top bottle must weigh 2 or 3 kilos (as well as rendering the bike a million times more awkward to work on), the o.e. pipes and cans weigh a ton, my entire Tyga system and some supposed titanium cans weigh less than one o.e. pipe (someone on the RGV forum reckoned the weight saving on his RGV was 8kg just swapping pipes and cans). The o.e. bodywork is super heavy whereas you really can't leave fibreglass race fairings lying around outside, they do blow away.
The rear subframe has a ton that can come off it if you're running std shape bodywork, the tyga one is pretty minimal already though an ally option would be nice.
Tyga also make ally screen braces and instrument mounts.

You must be able to lose 20kg, it makes a big difference, I can just push my bike up the ramp into the van easily, Andy's in full road trim is a tad more scary.
Steve you got any weights for the F3 bikes compared to the road going versions?

And Dave, I've lost around 16kg myself Wink

If I recall the last stockish '21 we weighed was over 160kg with fuel (full almost).

Like I said before F3 weighs 117kg with a gallon in the tank plus a full size NSR batt for the rear lights. I think I could get the F3 down to less than 116kg without going too mad.

Mine weighs in at 134.5Kg I think fully wet. Something like 116.5 dry. But I've got lots missing like your F3 Steve-O... (Although mines more powerful and faster)... ( Though not currently) lol
