installing read paddock stand bobbins

Hi I'm looking at installing bobbins on my MC16. Can I drill and tap the swingarm for this or would I be better off doing it a different way.

Ideally you want a couple of threaded tubes welded to the bottom of the arm, like the later models have, but it won't be the end of the world to drill and tap it.

Just make sure you only use narrow bobbins to keep the leverage on them to a minimum.
