FS: 1993 Honda NSR250R SE US Oregon Title Street Legal

I thought this day would never come, but I am thinking about selling my NSR250. I'm not really in a hurry to sell it, but just bought a Ducati and the NSR just sits. I hate to see it sitting. I bought it from a NSR enthusiast in California. He imported this bike from Japan when he was in the military. It was titled and registered there. Now it is now titled, registered and insured in Oregon with no problems. I would like to sell it to a motorcyclist who will appreciate this rare JDM two stroke GP replica motorcycle as much as I do. I do not want it to be sold to anybody who will use it as a daily rider, who is an inexperienced rider, will beat it up, or simply does not know what this bike is. It's too rare for that. It should ALWAYS be kept in a heated garage, or better yet, inside your house Smile I (and previous owner) have always babied this bike. It is locked up in my secure heated garage with a big chain lock. Battery tender has always been plugged in to keep the battery in tip top condition. The condition of this bike is not your typical “Japanese” import. It has never been sat outside and weathered, like many Japanese domestic imports. There is no corrosion or weathering anywhere on the bike! No rust in fuel tank. Just like new inside! All Japanese warning stickers are present. This bike has been babied!
-Japanese market 1993 Honda NSR250R SE Model
-Fully street legal with valid Oregon title, license plate, and is insured (tags are now expired since I now got a Ducati and this bike just sits. I can renew the tags if the new owner wants me to. That will be no problem.).
-Fully adjustable Showa front and rear suspension for preload and rebound
-Dry clutch (includes new clutch plates)
-Cassette style quick change transmission
-V-Twin 2 stroke 250cc with RC Powervalve
I also have: Original owners manual, parts manual, repair manual, and tool kit all in perfect condition. These are very hard to come by.

Modifications were kept to a minimum:
-Honda Racing Corporation (HRC): Reeds/stuffers/jet kit
-Okumura fork pre-load adjusters
-Daytona Turbo Air Filter
-Posh Firm CDI derestrictor box (removes Japanese speed restriction)
-Jha Heavy duty clutch spring set
-Jha RS Force 304 Full Stainless Steel exhaust system with Carbon Kevlar end cans (This is the BEST and lightest exhaust system for the NSR250. Almost 20 HP increase!) I had Jamie import these from Japan for me. Not even a dent or scratch on these beauties.
-Michelin Pilot Sports front and rear
-HRC Front and rear brake pads
-Coerce Sprocket set with RK Gold Chain
-Yuasa battery
-Custom white background face plates for the speedo/tach/temp gauges

I do have all the original parts (clutch cover, chain cover, stock pipes, etc) that will be included with the bike, if you want to restore it back to original condition. Small scratches on right side fairing from previous owner tipping it over on the grass. Right side has a scratch on the turn signal. A small stress crack on the seat cowl. Also from previous owner. Would never see unless you eyes were 1 feet away from it. I would rate this bike an overall condition of 8.9 out of 10.

Engine has been jetted rich for saftey. Motul 600 full synthetic oil has always been used. Bike starts with one or two kicks when cold. One kick when warm. Two caps of Motul 800 full synthetic oil is poured into the fuel tank at every fill up to increase lubrication along with the factory injection system.
Bike runs and handles awesome. This bike has never ever let me down. Will keep up with many larger bikes in the twisties. This bike is ready to be weekend ridden. Even includes the factory Honda key.
This is the bike that I have rode in many various motorcycle events around Portland. I have never seen another NSR anywhere that is in this almost prestine original condition.
$7800 obo. No trades. I can help with shipping. Please email me directly at larrynsr@gmail.com

Thanks,
Larry

Hey Larry,

Sorry to hear that it might go. I know how that feels. In any case, your bike is really beautiful and clean. Definitely a bargain for anyone looking for an NSR.

Good luck,

Joel
