Will there be a problem putting 28 carbs on a MC21?
the thing is, I bought a spares bike which came with Jha pipes.
I have fitted the Jhas and would like to install the carbs that came with that spares bike. However I have noticed the spares bike's carbs are actually MC28 carbs. it seems to be slightly different, will it work OK?
MC28 carbs will fit the MC21, but the airbox from the 21 will not actually reach the carbs. You'll need an MC28 airbox. Also the throttle cables are different, as is the oil pump cable, but both can be modified if you're handy with the snips and solderless nipples.
Check jetting, check jetting and check jetting again.
thanks that explains why ithe spare bike had the mc28 airbox and is running on premix. I might be easier just jetting the mc21 carbs.
it was running a 130/132 main jet in the 28 carbs. can I just use that main jet in the 21 to run the Jha?
