Very Happy Ta!

But i thought about it ( i was looking to get Stephenrc45's 300 motor) and as ive got a good box, the crank was done 2000km's ago and now the tops been done, the motor has basically been refreshed and as good as new. with a secondhand motor you would have to transfer all yer bits, and then have it set up again....and then the top or crank might be on its way out!!! some of the work here was by request, oil pump removal, new piston and rings for the good barrel and machined heads so could have got the cost down by quite a bit!

Very Happy oooooo cant wait to have a go again the cbr is good but i miss the buzz from a stroker!

Christ on a bike! Shocked

You could've got StephenRC45's 300 kit for £500... maybe less! 70+hp and a mid-range that makes it hard to keep the front wheel on the deck, and it's almost all new parts and very reliable!

Maybe, but looking at the work they've done, I'm impressed at the cost. I think I'd have done the same thing, so don't you listen to them nasty big boys trying to sell you their cheap white trash!

Very Happy Very Happy what would you have charged Andy??? LOL I still think for the work done its a good price, alot of it wasnt needed. But i had done while she was apart, the heads at £60 they are now matched (i had a L head on top and H head on the bottom)!!!! oil pump blocked off for premix, and a piston ring set + hone to bottom (good) barrel just to make sure thats all good as well!!! could have been avoided reducing the cost by quite a bit.

The 300 kit was nearly mine but the barrel had already gone off for replate when the kit came up for sale. so that sealed it Confused mind you now thats its back im glad i kept it 250!!

Shocked Shocked You should see the old piston!!!!! I will post a pic as soon as i get a new camera (kids bounced the last one down the stairs) i have never seen anything like it!!! there is bits of ring stuck in the crown and the rest of the ring(s) have been welded (well it looks like that) into the pston with huge score marks!!! awsome!!! expensive but awsome to see what can happen!!!

That's the price you pay if you go somewhere, although those parts are very overpriced.

I had my '28 done by Apex at vast cost, partly though ignorance of how easy they are to fix and partly because it was an absolute mess.

At least the money wasn't wasted on futile things like kid's clothing, groceries etc.

Well give me a shout next time rc46, as I could've saved you about £200 on that price! Smile

I know people like BDK have overheads and wages to pay, so that taken into account it's not such a bad price, but if I can help you save and put some coffers into NSR-WORLD at the same time...
