I hope I'm not out of place here but I just had to share.

$5,600.

Very Happy very nice indeed, MAKE sure its had the belts and shimes done. thats the most important part of the ducati service history, if he cant prove its been done get it done, my friends 748 went pop as a belt broke, repaire bill was nearly £900!!!!!

If you havnet ridden one they are awsome, youll love it.

Actually it needs the 12k service which is why I got the price I did. Belts are first on the list.

Only 1000 produced world-wide. Not too common. Eh?

I assume you know about the R 748, but just in case, make sure its the real deal, (in the uk anyway) the R should have 3 Injectors (have a look under the tank) and the pipes should be 50mm version. everything else was more or less the same as the others,

Remeber to take it to a track. Very Happy itll all become clear, Rolling Eyes and errrr emmm change the screen its to high Rolling Eyes standard one is best Cool

Yes, and that is part of the beauty of it. Most people in the US have no clue what an NSR is either. They just see it as a 250cc girls "starter" bike.

I checked it over as well as I could to be sure it was an R. Correct wheels, ecm, forks, shock, and the VIN or course. Didn't get to see the TBs, but he said it has the shower injectors. I didn't know the exhaust was different. I know the mufflers were changed, but he didn't know about the rest of the system. Anyway, for the price it can't be beat. I'll wait till my skills get better before I take to the track again. I haven't raced (or even hardly ridden) in about 15 years so I don't feel I'm up to the task yet.

For the price it's amazing I'd say! You'll pay that for an MC28 from some places!

Yes, and my toy box is full now so I won't be getting an MC28 for a while. I still can't wait to get on my MC21; I think I will be most happy on it.

A friend of a drinking buddy (er, I mean friend of a friend!) lent me one of those last time I was in Florida... just like sitting on an MC21! Same clocks, same switchgear, almost the same riding position!

It all turned to crap when I fired up the motor though!! Very Happy It was like sitting on a slow MC21 that wouldn't rev then!! Laughing

Well, you didn't think I was actually going to condone buying a 4T in public did you?! Wink
