The Parts Manual on the forum does not have a complete picture of the Swingarm assemblie. Does anyone have that page that they can post up.
I'm trying to figure out how the rear brake hose is held in place.

Maybe Fontyy can post you a picture of his brake line assembly?

The parts manual is exactly the same as the "real" one (see below).

Bikepics have removed the full size page, thanks a bundle.

The rear brake hose runs along the top of the chainguard and is held in place by a couple of nasty steel clips that are part of it and rust in seconds (exactly the same as the NC30 and 35) and then through loop 43350-MR8-780.

Jamie sells a nice rear brake hose stay or if your lucky like me your '28 came with a carbon hugger c/w brake hose guide.

My NC35 and MC28 rear brake hose setups, the NC35 is how the MC28 should be done, click for bigger (but still blue tinged??) pics

Thanks.
I have a bare swingarm, so I will need to figure a way to hold the brake line. I like the chain gaurd Jamie sells, but can't justify the cost .

I might do something like this, are these sold somewhere or are they homemade?

That looks just like how I have the hose running on my track bike. I used coat hangers and bent em to fit. Another great example of home recycling!

Squint and you might just seen 'em

I'm sure I've seen the ultimate pipe run which has it going into the swingarm itself and is hidden until it pokes out for the caliper.

Still amazes me it's legal to go without a chain guard. If you've ever seen one let go, you'd fit one!

I've had one let go....twice! Onece on my TZR125, man that was a long push home. The second on my '28. Fortunatly both were at low speed so didn't take my foot off.......which is nice.

It's not in the UK, it isn't part of the MOT but it is part of construction and use (according to my local Honda dealer).
My Transalp smashed it's chainguard, numberplate and toolkit (it's just behind the nmberplate area) when it's chain went!

Maybe need to check up on that. I seem to recall someone (StephenRC45 I think) saying that you don't need a chainguard if you don't have a pillion seat/footrests.

I may be wrong though - I could've been on Blue Cruisers at the time, and they do weired things to my sense of reality!! Very Happy

It just came up as I asked what I needed for MOT (the transalp one is still missing after chain snapping);

Chainguard, not MOT but must be fitted to comply with C&U laws (maybe??)
Mirrors, no
Indicators, yes if not daylight MOT and first registered after '86.
Numberplate light, no, but but must be fitted to comply with C&U laws if not daylight only.
