Jets for TA21/TA20

Wed Aug 27, 2008 10:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi all,

I need some main jets for my bike, the carbs are TA20 or TA21, does anyone know what jet type I need? I rang these guys as they were recommended by someone on this forum:

http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/keihinjets.html

They said I need to specify which type of jet t order them.

If someone can tell me what type of Keihin jet I need to order for the TA20 or TA21 that would be great.

Also I've heard there is a dyno in Basingstoke that is good for two strokes, does anyone know details about it?

Thanks, Mat.

Hi Mat,

The main jet code for every NSR250 seems to be the: 99101-393-XXX

Now i believe that the slow jet code is: N424-26-XXX without being 100% sure maybe someone can confirm?

Main jet and slow just numbers can be found on the 250 (Carburettor) Tuning and Online Parts Manual pages respectively.

Thanks for the replies - I'll have a look on the parts manual. The code listed above appears on allen performance website.

I've got an RGV with NS400 engine, with TA21 NSR250 carbs. I've just fitted 500cc barrels and want to rejet. It's got 190 at the front cylinders and 192 at the rear at the moment, it's too rich with either open carbs or individual ramair pod type filters.

I really need to take it to a dyno place and get it set up properly.

Cheers, Mat.

DynoTech Performance is in Basingstoke, so not too far from you and very good with strokers.

Try a PM to "elegy" Mat. He has an NS500 motor in an Aprilia RS chassis that works rather well by all accounts!
