Sat Mar 25, 2006 1:12 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

still not happy with my technoflex shock after a complete k-tech rebuild
was wondering where you guys running a ohlins rear live and ill come over as i would like feel how a ohlins works compared to mine (i dont need to ride the bike )
maybe i am just to use to a stiff 4 stroke race bike setup but mine still feels very soft

i do have all the sags set correctly

Ive used Ohlins on the RC and the CBR and been happy both times. Bill uses a Ohlins on the back of his '21 and seems happy.

I had a HRC rear shock rebuilt by K-tech and untill I got used to it it felt very soft. Now its alittle closer to how I like it's much better.

If the shock damping overall is ok then maybe you could try making up some new tie rods, I did this to the '18 when I fitted the HRC F3 rear shock and Wayne has just done it to his too. Try Changing the lever ratio.

Nigel you're welcome to come and bounce up and down on mine... Laughing Shocked

But seriously, it feels great, much more plush and compliant over the road surface... I'm no racer so can't relay how it might feel to you, but according my own arse, it feels like a big improvement over my old standard SP shock...

I'm near junction 7 on the M25. From you, if you're near to DBR, it's about 1.5 hours I'd say... In the car.

Check your PM

I've got a Honda RS shock on the RG - after 2 years I still haven't figured out how all of the settings interact - there are about 5 different dials and things to play with and at the moment I've got 'rock solid' super hero setting or 'easy rider' sloppy seconds setting.

Looks nice and hasn't given any problems..

Surely the answer is to go back to the builders and ask them to double check its the right spring etc for you?
