RC valve question

Wed Mar 08, 2006 7:16 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Should the hole that the shaft runs through on the rc valve cable guide have a bow tie shape or should it fit snug on the shaft? I wouldn't think it would wear that much, but then again it's 15 yrs old.

I hope this makes sense. If not let me know & I will take a picture.

Thank you.

I think you mean the gold coloured bit that bolts on the end yeah?

No, it shouldn't! Sounds like it's been loose and forcing carbon deposits out the way. I doubt you'll ever get the valves properly aligned like that...

Bloody rubbish actually, but my answer stands! The plate should be a snug fit on the rod with no play. Time for a new one.

I think I took 8-10 pictures & they all sucked. These were the 2 best. Oh well.

Thanks for the help, I'll get them ordered today.
