Max has gone to super bikes, with suzuki Shocked
WCM are sticking with making their own chassis, but using the KTM engine.
Bimota are putting in some money.

While I'm not his biggest fan, I think its sad Max has left for superbike and isnt in GP. Maybe he should of spent some time back in 250 where he was so good and stayed in GP.

Max was always a bit too vocal for me. A good rider and once great, but I think he was a bit too long in the tooth to move back to 250 wasn't he? At least in SBK he'll be racing against grown men and not a bunch of fearless weigh-nothing boys!

Max may be no where!

HRC would not supply bikes to any team Max was involved in due to him slagging HRC off and apparently throwing the bike down in the pits and accusing them of sabotaging him, a little bit steep really although HRC clearly did favor Hayden and even he (Hayden) said the chassis Max and Sete ran wasn't good. The fall out from this is no Pons team as Camel were Max's personal sponsor and they told HRC where to shove their team.
Yamaha and Suzuki also vitoed any team from running Max.
Kawasaki were willing to run a third bike for him but Bridgestone were unable to supply tyres and unwilling to have Michellin tyres on identical bikes for obvious reasons.
There was talk of him joining the Roberts team but nothing came of it, for sure Kenny would have loved the Camel millions of $$$ and it would have allowed a 2nd bike, maybe more Honda sabotage?

So with all roads exploited Camel said goodbye to Max and threw their millions at Yamaha. Rossi had said he wouldn't ride a bike backed by a tabbaco company and Gauloises are seeking compensation after Yamaha broke the contract as Rossi wouldn't ride a bike with their name on it but is now riding in Camel colours.

So WSB then? The Alstar Corona team do want to run a bike for Max and have put a "TBA" on the entry list, Max is seeking equal equipment and support guarantees before signing.

Max is not on the WSB Entry list for the 2006 season. Carn't wait to see Jeremy Mcwilliams back on a GP bike I know it's going to be at the back of the grid for maybe a few races because the KTM engine they are going to use will not be devlopt that well by the time Jerez comes which is March 26th Very Happy. 4 Brits in GPS this year what a turn around since the start of Dec when only 1 was going to be in (James Ellison).

If Biaggi is a bit long in the tooth (which he probably is, and he is a massive whinger) - McWilliams is a buck-tooth sabre tooth tiger.

Never did nuthin'. He might not have had a great bike, but so what - he's done nuthin' on a crap bike. I don't really rate Ellison either but to his credit he has done enough on a crap bike to get a decent bit of kit - and it'll be interesting to see if he can get some good results on similar kit to Rossi (which I hope he does). I said SIMILAR before anyone has an eppy that Rossi's bike is better.

McWilliams in BSB was very disapointing where he should have kicked ass or at least been a competitive front runner.

Soz to be a bit of a neg - that's just how I feel. I reckon he's had a bloody good run as it is, let someone new have a go.

Smile
