Torque values

Sat Jan 14, 2006 1:20 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Is there somewhere I can find torque values for the MC28? I need the following:

Front axle bolt
Front axle pinch bolts
Front brake caliper bolts

Rear axle nut

Putting on some Michelin Pilot Powers tomorrow. Thanks

Front axle bolt - 6.0 kg-m
Front axle pinch bolts - 2.2 kg-m
Front brake caliper bolts - 3.1 kg-m

I won't need to finsih the Workshop Manual translation at this rate, as I'll have posted it all on the Forum anyway!! Smile

Andy,

Thanks, hate to bother you but could you tell me the rear axle nut torque as well. I could also use a value in NM or ft/lbs.

20.5 kg-m.

Sorry, the book comes in kg-m, and I'm already doing the hard bit. The translated workshop manual that will be available in the Members area will be in the same format too.

There's plenty of conversion websites out there! I use this one: OnlineConversion.com

Andy,

Thank you so much, can't wait for the online manual. Should have the new tires mounted at the track tomorrow. Won't be able to try them out till after Monday at least but will report my observations, any other Pilot Power users out there? Might have to run them on the TZ tomorrow as they will be the closest thing to a rain tire I'll have and the forecast is rain.
