I think the point is to be pricey....he clearly doesn't want to sell it, or that what he's saying in the listing. It's all just a stunt to appease the 'trouble and strife'

That's big money in the current NSR market but there are only 4000 '28sp's in the world and only 1500 like that, when I was looking at that one in Bristol (they've still got it) I emailed Jamie Wheeler asking what mint SP's fetched in Japan as everyone reckoned that one was crazy money (£4700) and he reckoned a million yen (that's £5k!) was not unheard of for a really pristene example.

I would hypothesize if there's a burn mark made by the exhaust it's not always been restricted. Andy, any chance this is the HRC one you sent me details of put back to normal?

That SP at Bikes Direct looks very nice!

I remember quite a few years back when they first got on the import bandwagon, all of their stock was very rough. All had badly repainted replica plastics & weren't cheap. They obviously still like the replica paint jobs though looking through that list Rolling Eyes Confused

I bought my first MC28se from Bike Direct.... I think it was in 1997 or summit and it was a pristine 1994se in red and white with just 300km on the clock for £3600... My friend has it now and it's still pristine! Everything is and was how it should have been from the factory...

That sounded like a bargain.

It must have been early 90's i guess when i used to pop over to see what they had. Always had a load of VFR400's with aftermarket fairings & bad repro paint. Ended up trading in my RGV for a Gixer 400 from APS (which closed a few years back). I must of had one of the first GSXR 400s in the UK Cool
