Thu Oct 20, 2005 2:08 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

After reading Monkeys post on Brembo Brake adapters, Is there any one in the UK or US that makes adapters to fit NSR forks and take the Nissian calipers? Id buy the brembo Adapeters from Jamie, but id rather keep my Nissins, I have giving up the fork conversion as i now have the se stuff but would like the opertunity to buy new discs ie vfr400 blade etc etc... so anyone? can anyone make them? could we all cip in and get some made? i dont mind running with it but who do i contact?

MC28 for bottoms and you can fit RVF nissins or RC51 (sp1) calipers , NC30 fork bottoms and you can fit NC30 4 pots.
mate a bit confused by your post? what nissins do you mean the std 4 pots from your R they will bolt straight onto your SE forks.

Monkey i know, I have a nice set of NC30 disc's i want to fit on the wheel but they are 296 i think so id like some adapters so the calipers sit out further, I like the current set up but its difficult to find new discs for the NSR now so id preffer to fit adapters to more the calipers than fit nc30 forks, that way i can keep it nsr!

Jamie sells the brembo kit for standard and large discs but id like the same for standard calipers and forks.

Only today I manged to get my hands on some very trick ex endurance HRC disks off RC30's. This is what Andy and myself are now going to be running very soon on the nsr's.... these puppies are 320mm dia!

They are fully floating but with square bobbin to help stop disk roll, they even have the right offset for nsr's. Might have a few spare sets though once we have decided which ones we are going to use.

Cool as and i have made a few calls today and i have someone who will build the Plates for me although i told him it was for a NC30 disc...but i could get him to build others, itll be a few weeks before i take the forks, wheel disc and caliper along as he needs them to meassure up, if anyone is intrested could you let me know as itll be cheaper to get a load made as apposed to 1 set, pm me if you are just intrested so i can gauge the numbers, itll be for 296 disc unless you say otherwise, standard forks and caliper.

All, I have had several PM's since posting i need to make it clear what im getting done. I have a set of NC30 discs that i want to fit to my stock NSR mc21 to do this i need brackets made so i can retain the original calipers, forks and wheel, The NC30 disc has the same offset as the standard disc (CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG BUT IVE HAD A LOOK and BLADE old and VTR all have same offset) The disc is 296mm larger than stock this will allow me in the future to have a better choice of discs) if you are intrested let me know via PM i wont hold you to it but ill get a price when i take the forks etc along. let you know and you can say yes or no

if you want bigger disc's then he can do it (he is a proffesional Bike engineer he's been building race bikes for years) BUT as i dont have any other disc's I may need 1 of your discs to take along so he can stick it on the wheel and meassure up!

PM me your intrest and ill get back to you, Its not gona be quick, as im not going over until next month and he wont have it finished for a few weeks after that!
