carburetor boot

Tue Oct 11, 2005 7:53 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Where can I buy the rubber boots that go on carburetors and connect to air box. Mine is so messed up that it won't stay on. Are those interchangable with onther Hondas? I'm in California, USA. Thanks.

First thing to try is taking the part number to your Honda dealer and trying to order one.

Good luck getting your local honda dealer (in California) to order anything for your NSR. If anyone behind the parts counter even knows what an NSR is. If it has kv3 in the part # I think it is only for the NSR.

Well the idea is to check the parts manual on this site, and take the number in to him. He doesn't need to know what the hell it's for!

I checked the part # and it is a kv3 #. I'd call and ask them to check the #(or you will be wasting your gas). Every time i have checked a part # with kv3 in it there is no listing for it. I'm not saying don't check just don't be disappointed when they give you that deer in the headlights stare.

I called local Honda and gave them part # 17253-KV3-830. Not listed. I emailed Paul @ Tyga to see if he has them. He'll get back to me in a few days. Thanks for your help guys. If you can think of any other place where I can order, let me know.

The way the Hondacom system works is it only brings up part numbers for models that were imported into that contry. No NSR parts will come up on the system. They can still order it though, its just they wont be able to price it untill the invoice arrives. If they say they cant order it, its BS. They can, they just dont know they can or cant be bothered. If they put the order in to Honda it will come unless its discontinued.

I doubt it, I'm going by Herc! Trust me, you really don't want to join me - A two day trip sat in a dark vibrating tube so loud you wear ear defenders constantly. The toilet is a bucket with blue stuff in it. There are no sinks, and no reclining chairs. wanna sleep? Take a hammock and string it up in the roof.

Mind you, I do get as much room as I like to bring stuff home, and I'm staying out there until December 14th, so I'm guessing it's gonna be pretty full!

I'm flying to San Diego then heading up to San Fransico. If Dave wasn't able to, I could drop it off/put it in the post.
