Hi all,

Seems my centre seal has gone and time for another crankshaft rebuild. I noticed that my flywheel side conrod has 0.75mm lateral play and my drive gear side con rod has 0.25mm carried out with a feeler gauge. I understand that 0.75mm is just about within spec. for a standard MC21 crankshaft(0.55-0.75mm). Is the data also applicable to 89 year crankshafts? What could be some reasons for a bigger clearance on the flywheel con rod.

The crankshaft was rebuilt 5 years ago and the engine did less than 1000 kms.
