MC18 swingarm spacers?

Sat Aug 20, 2022 1:15 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys, I am busy assembling the rolling chassis of a MC18 R2 basket case I picked up...have not assembled one in about 10 years and I am a bit stuck with the swing arm spacing in the frame. In the manual it says the adjuster bolt must not protrude inward ( I would imagine this is screwed until flush with the inside of the frame? ) but there is about +- 15mm difference between the width of the swingarm and the inside of the frame? I have checked the CMS parts manual and it does not show a bush for there but somthing has to go between ? It cannot sit flush on the inside of the drive side of the frame as the swingarm fowls on the frame. Probably somthing silly I am missing but I have been looking at it for a while now and I am stumped Laughing .. please any advice or a pic would be greatly appreciated thanks Troy.
