Ive thought for years that ethanol destroys our crank bearings (with no solid proof). Does anybody think a fuel like this would help our NSR's or do you think its all a load of hogwash. Has anyone ever used this or something similar? _________________ John 3:7
I worked it out to £3.04 per litre, which is twice the price of super unleaded. I see it includes T2 oil for premix, so I assume this is more for track use. If it saves crank seals, which could cost around £600 to rebuild (plus stripping costs), it's probably not a bad option
I have seen some super leaded fuels claiming not to contain ethanol. I was told the blends of fuel change seasonally, so there's no guarantee
After trying several fuels I settled on VP U4.4. Its leaded and oxygenated. And yes, it makes more power over pump gas. I mix in my own oil at 30 to 1
The T2 is mixed at 40 to 1 which is a bit lean on oil. I've talked with Matt who said they tried different ratios in past only to find 30 to 1 works best.
Iv'e seen the VP fuel that you mix yourself , I have friends who use it in their RS race bikes with no problems, never seen the pre mixed one though, the only downfall I see with that one is, you cant use your own brand of oil, whereas I use castrol 747 with avgas at 40.1, gotta be worth a try though. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
I will more than likely be running my MC21 premix. Does anyone have any suggestions on what fuel to run? I dont mind paying for it and I use Castrol Fully Synthetic 2T too.
Try Shell super if you have any near you, also if you happen to have a small airfield near you, go along with some jerry cans and buy some 100ll avgas off them. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
Depends what your using it for and what other mods you will be making, ie; road use, track , pre mix, etc, etc, but as you know we aint allowed to discuss jetting in the general threads. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto

To be pedantic, if jetted optimally, you'd need to rejet if it was cold and damp yesterday, and warm and sunny today!
Absolutely, you will need to rejet for a different class of fuel. I've jetted close enough to worry about using 95 instead of 97/98 before!
Basically, you want to jet for the lowest grade of fuel you're likely to use, never the highest. Using a higher grade of fuel, at worst, gives an element of safety. The difference between AVGAS and U/L however, is extremely significant. It'll still run, but it will be crap. You need to optimise for leaded fuel, and that includes ignition and compression. It's not just about jetting, and you certainly wouldn't want to optimise for AVGAS then find you only have access to unleaded, because that will almost certainly end in catastrophic engine failure. _________________ Andy.

Yeah I think avgas is out for now. Also Esso and Shell are not anywhere near me in Ireland. So that leaves me with very little options. What do you guys think? I have a topaz near me.

I would say either:
Top up a jerry can now and again at the nearest Esso (assuming you can be sure they have ethanol free super duper fuel over there)
Buy in some ethanol free mail order petrol if you can get it over the water
Run your bike on Topaz RON 95..you simply won't be worried about it as you will be having so much fun trying to keep your eyeballs inside your lid
Alternatively send me the bike to "look after" for you, promise I'll only use the nice petrol ✋
