Hi all,

My bike has covered 40,000 kms and I’m rebuilding the bottom and top end.

How can I determine if those bearings need replacing? They seem to move smoothly...

Also is a blind bearing puller necessary to remove them?

Any info appreciated.

I have never heard of a gearbox bearing failing but I personally would change them as a precaution while you have the engine apart.

No need for a bearing puller, stick the case in the oven for half hour or so and they will fall out of their own accord.
