I'm try to register an MC28 in the UK and had the document below come through with the frame. Firstly is this a registration docuement or a transfer of title document. Also I'm trying to date it. Is the date 3rd September 2012?

Have you tried using the Google Translate app in camera mode?
You can get some quite amusing translations but it will eventually show something sensible.

I used VJMC's dating service to get my bike dated for registration, its worth the subscription fee to join as well. The DVLC always knock the reg plate back a year though because its always dated from the beginning of the year not March of that year, but if that is a Japanese equivalent of our V5 then you will have evidence of a month which it was registered, so an R reg won't become a P...

You could ask some specialist importers if they can support you with this for a small fee...D&K maybe or one of the car guys?

If you could open up the image a little so we can see the frame number maybe we can start to pin down a date of manufacture for you?

Finally, why not look up a Japanese language school and mail them the image, see if they can shed some light on it? or even better an English language school in Japan? trade them some English lesson time for help with the correct export data?

If you cantact Honda with the frame number they will supply a dating letter for registering in the UK for £30, it only takes them a couple od weeks to supply it.
